One-Hot Encoding¶
Definition¶
Converts categorical variables into a binary format.
A 1 means that the category is present, a 0 if not.
Example¶
Say we have this dataset:
{ width="300" }
Then our one-hot encoding changes it to this:
{ width="300" }
